Within us all is the ability to make ordinary things extraordinary. The worlds we imagine and the world we inhabit both come from the same place– our minds. We lock ourselves out of our own imaginations by the activities we engage in. The idea of play has become something of a lost art. Often, children and adults confine their imagination to a world as small as a Nintendo box.

In this series, my external world is transposed into a place of my own creation. It is a world inside of me where the characters and interactions have no boundaries– a place where my inner life can take on a life of its own.

This is an invitation. It is a gateway to a place where you can leave the everyday limitations of your life behind– a state of mind where these walls can be broken down, allowing us to see far outside the box into a world we have never known.

Trees are symbols of life. To many, the Great Salt Lake is seen as a dead sea, a hostile place. But to those that take the time to know it, they see it as a living environment; a place where life has it's own balance and order. In a landscape where existence can be a struggle, all life takes on a nobility and depth. It touches those who are willing to reach deeply into who they are and to find their place in the world.
